The Bethel University Renaissance Choir & Quartet – In Concert
Join us for a special FREE Sunday evening concert, featuring guest musicians from Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee!
Serving as the foundation of the Renaissance Vocal Program, The Renaissance Choir performs a wide variety of music, ranging from praise and worship to classical. Whether it is on a national stage or in a local church, the Renaissance Choir electrifies audiences across the nation. In 2007 the group traveled to Japan to lead worship and perform at the Cumberland Presbyterian General Assembly. They have also traveled to New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Birmingham, St. Louis, New Mexico, Dallas, San Antonio, Phoenix, Nashville, Memphis, Indianapolis, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia, and other cities. The Choir has collaborated with Mark Lowry & David Phelps of the Gaither Vocal Band and many others!
Under the direction of Executive Director, Matthew Holt, The Renaissance Quartet has encouraged and uplifted listeners with their unique style since the conception of the group in 2008. The group has traveled from coast to coast and abroad leading worship and performing in concerts of all kinds. The Renaissance Quartet won best new group at the 2009 National Quartet Convention in Louisville, KY, competing against 41 other groups from around the world. Since that contest, they have been showcased in concerts at the NQC: gospel music’s largest annual event with audiences of 10,000 or more. In 2010, the group traveled to the Philippines on a performance based mission trip. In the Summer of 2015, the Quartet traveled to Columbia, South America to lead worship and perform at the Cumberland Presbyterian General Assembly.
