CAUTION ALL “BABY BOOMERS” AND SENIORS-ESTATE PLANNING AHEAD!
Two members of our church-Bob Ingold and Jim Brock will be co-leading a discussion of “Estate Planning Problems and How to Avoid Them” on January 12th at two different times of the day. The first will be at 11:00 a.m. in gym during the usual monthly meeting of Second Seniors. The other session will be that evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Gathering Room. Reservations are not required.
The discussion will include problems and solutions related to: (1) selection of the estate manager; (2) distribution problems related to underage, incapacitated, and spendthrift beneficiaries; (3) second marriage issues (is it possible to make your estate plans bimbo or bozo proof?); (4) IRA, life insurance and annuity beneficiary designations; (5) exposure of the estate to pay nursing home costs; (6) and how to keep your children from fighting over your tangible personal property.
