Women's Spring 2009 Bible Studies

Bible Study is at the heart of our ministry and we invite you to join us as you grow closer in your relationship with Jesus. Every Spring and Fall we kick off a new semester of studies and offer a variety of classes.

• Class materials may be purchased in the Second Baptist Bookstore which will be open 30 minutes prior to class start times

"Apples of Gold" by Betty Huizenga

Date & Time: Monday mornings, 9:30 am - Noon

*Apples of Gold combines cooking demos with Bible Study to provide women in their 20's and 30's with the opportunity to nurture authentic relationships with women who are a little further along in their walk of faith. Each weekly gathering is hosted in a leader's home. Upon registration, you will be contacted with additional information.

"Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman" by Beth Moore

Date & Time: Tuesday mornings, 9:30 am - Noon

"The Battle for the Beginning: Creation, Evolution and the Bible" by John MacArthur

"Me, Myself & Lies: Your Thought Closet Makeover" by Jennifer Rothschild

*Every woman has a closet full of everything she's placed there; some of it is attractive, lots of it is out-dated, ugly and ill-fitting. Every woman also has a thought closet full of everything she's said to herself for years. Some of our self-talk is attractive and useful, but lots of it is ugly, out-dated and just doesn't fit! What we have placed in our thought closets is what we will clothe our lives with, which is why we often need a makeover! Join us as we learn practical strategies for guarding our closet door and sound Biblical approaches for keeping truth in our thought closet.

"Women Who Pray"

*Ladies of all ages...are you interested in spending focused time before God with like-minded women? Would you like to have a group of women supporting you in prayer? Would you love to see the power of God released in your life and in the lives of those you love, as you gather with others in His Name, seeking His will?
