Joyful And Alive In His Name
From Allen: Hello! Before I start I just want to say that I hope you have had, or will have, a great day today! All too often we focus on the chaos instead of the incredible provisions our Lord has made for us daily. He is our great, loving father that intercedes for us, and has a wonderful plan for our lives.
In the old testament there were indeed walls between us and our Father. Our atonement for sin was by the blood sacrifices we made, but by the cross of Jesus Christ those walls were broken down. Those who call on the name of the Lord and believe in Him have their names written in the book of life for all eternity by no means of our own righteousness, but because of the perfect sacrifice of Christ in our place! If you aren’t getting excited about that, you need to get up, jump around a little but, and get your heart pumping!
“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved” Ephesians 2:4-5
Your Love Awakens Me is a song resounding with joy and adoration for our loving Father. The bridge declares “And what a love we’ve found; death can’t hold us down. We shout it out, we’re alive because You’re alive!” Because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we have been made alive in His name. It is our responsibility, but more importantly it is our joy as worshipers of Christ, to praise Him for that redeeming truth. Don’t wait until this Sunday to worship Him for that truth. We all as Christians have been given an intimate relationship with our Father, so recognize that truth and enter into a time of personal worship right now! We are not limited to worship only at church! We are made alive because our Jesus is alive, and we should be constantly rejoicing and singing that truth every day.
I want to encourage you to choose joy today. We have such incredible freedom as Christians, and we should choose to always recognize that and joyfully worship in response.
