DR. JOHN MARSHALL
John Marshall was born December 22, 1951, in Sikeston, Missouri, a sixth generation preacher. At age 23 he became the youngest person ever to earn a Doctor of Ministry degree from a Southern Baptist seminary. John and Ruth have two married children and five grandchildren. Dr. And Mrs. Marshall came to Springfield Second in 1995. In 1997 a missions revival began. It continues to be the main emphasis of the church.

SHANE SEGARS
Shane Segars is the Teaching Pastor and gives leadership to Second’s ministry staff. He graduated from Clemson University, began his ministry serving with Campus Crusade for Christ, and earned a seminary degree from the International School of Theology. Shane and his wife, Jenelle, have four sons that keep their lives filled with activity and laughter. His greatest passion is seeing a person become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
